Hey guys,

We all know how hard and cruel life can be sometime... For me, I enjoy the college life until I started get down in the dumps. People that didn't have a great time at school and college, or had their parents giving them a hard time because they believed that people, like myself, who are struggling with their confidence because they were well aware that they weren't as good at the pro's out there, but just didn't know how to get better. That's the way how I feel. :( (Sad) Freddy Facepalm Chat Icon

Needless to say, it was so rare to find people saying something nice about me, and it was even more rare to find someone actually encouraging me. Starting out with things is hard - even harder when I have little to no confidence to build on.

I've been there. I have my idols that I looked up to. But, sadly, most of them were so grand and impressive talent or massive popularity, and it came to them naturally. And like probably many others that didn't overflow with confidence at that time. I felt too intimidated to even talk to them. Yet, I kept feeling discourage and disappointed over the fact that such 'great person' would probably never noticed me, let alone reply to my messages or even worse, block me for sending too many notes, like :iconrain-wings: did; when I tried to be friendly and apologized to her.

Yes, like all of you, a lot of mixed feelings more - yet, I noticed it's a very common feeling around here. Now, there are few of quotes, from TV shows, Movies and Video Games that I love, that inspire me, that inspire me, and that I have told to other people or read myself when it seemed I needed them the most. Don't believe me? Enjoy these quotes that I like:

1.) The Lion King

Rafiki:    What was THAT? {laughs} The weather-- Pbbbah! Very peculiar. Don't you think?
Simba:    Yeah. Looks like the winds are changing.
Rafiki:    Ahhh. Change is good.
Simba:    Yeah, but it's not easy. I know what I have to do. But, going back means I'll have to face my past. I've been running from it for so long.

{Rafiki whacks Simba on the head with his staff.}

Simba:    Oww! Jeez-- What was that for?
Rafiki:    It doesn't matter; it's in the past! {laughs}
Simba:    {Rubbing head} Yeah, but it still hurts.
Rafiki:    Oh yes, the past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it, or... learn from it.

2.) Kung Fu Panda

OOGWAY: Quit, don't quit. Noodles, don't noodles. [Po looks back at him, confused.] You are too concerned with what was and what will be. There's a saying: Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.

OOGWAY: Ah, yes. [Oogway steps forwards while Shifu begins pacing in frustration.] But no matter what you do, that seed will grow to be a peach tree. You may wish for an apple, or an orange... but you will get a peach.

SHIFU: [Stops pacing and turns to Oogway.] But a peach cannot defeat Tai Lung!

OOGWAY: Maybe it can. If you are willing to guide it, to nurture it. To believe in it.

[Oogway covers the seed with dirt.]

SHIFU: But how? How? I need your help, Master.

OOGWAY: No, you just need to believe. [He leans in towards his friend.] Promise me, Shifu. Promise me you will believe.

PO: I stayed because though every time you threw a brick at my head or said I smelled, it hurt... [Shifu stares at him.] but it could never hurt more than it did every day of my life just being me.

[Po pauses. Shifu is in a stunned silence.]

PO: I stayed because I thought if anyone could change me... could make me... not me, it was you! The greatest kung fu teacher in all of China!

MR. PING: Er, Po... I'm sorry things didn't work out. It just... wasn't meant to be.

[Po slumps against the cart.]

MR. PING: Po, forget everything else. Your destiny still awaits. We are noodle folk... broth runs deep through our veins!

PO: I don't know, Dad. Honestly, sometimes I can't believe I'm actually your son.

[Mr Ping is taken aback.]

MR. PING: Po, I think it's time I told you something I should have told you a long time ago...

PO: [Looks up] Okay...

[Mr Ping pauses dramatically...]

MR. PING: The secret ingredient of my secret ingredient soup!

[Po feigns excitement.]

PO: Oh.

MR. PING: C'mere! The secret ingredient is... nothing!

[Po is taken completely by surprise.]

PO: Huh?

MR. PING: You heard me. Nothing. There is no secret ingredient!

PO: Wait wait wait...it's just plain old noodle soup? You don't add some kind of special sauce or something?

MR. PING: Don't have to. To make something special, you just have to believe it's special.

[Po looks at his father with dawning realization. He picks up the Scroll and looks down at the golden reflective surface. For a moment, Po stares at his reflection on the scroll, then his eyes widen. He gets it now.]

PO: There is no secret ingredient...

[Po looks at his confused father, and then turns back to look at the palace as thunder clouds gather]

3.) Kung Fu Panda 2

SOOTHSAYER: Your story may not have such a happy beginning... but that does not make you who you are. It is the rest of your story... who you choose to be...

4.) Hercules

Phil: What do you mean, "what's the point ?" You wanna go to Olympus, don't ya?

Hercules: Yeah, but this stuff doesn't seem to be getting me anywhere. [He throws the skin of Scar to Phil]

Phil (wiping the paint off his face with it): You can't give up now, I'm counting on ya

Hercules: I gave this everything I had. Phil: Listen to me, kid. I seen 'em all. And I am tellin' you - and this is the honest-to-Zeus truth - you got somethin' I never seen before

Hercules: Really?

Phil: I can feel it right down to these stubby bowlegs of mine. There is nothin' you can't do, kid.

Phil: Come on, kid, come on. Fight back. Come on, you can take this bum, This guy's a pushover, look at him

Hercules: You were right all along, Phil. Dreams are for rookies.

Phil: No, no, no, no, kid, givin' up is for rookies. I came back 'cause I'm not quittin' on ya. I'm willing to go the distance, how 'bout you?

Zeus: For a true hero isn't measured by the size of his strength, but by the strength of his heart.

5.) The Jungle Book Mowgli's Story

Baloo: Mowg, don't worry about the hunt.
 Everyone makes mistakes. Even me.

Bagheera: Listen to me.
I'm sure the pack forgives you.
Your parents must be worried sick.
 Tomorrow, we'll take you back.

Mowgli: I don't want to go back.
I can't face them, not after today.
I just want to dig a big hole
 and hide,
or run away and leave the jungle.

 Bagheera: Now, now, man-cub.
 I know you're upset.
 But running away
 is not the answer.
Once, when I was a cub,
I got mad at my parents
and I ran away from home.
 It didn't take long
 before I was caught
 by hunters who were going
to sell me for my fur.
I was chained in a cage. I thought
I'd never see my family again.
But later, when they were moving me
to a bigger cage, I escaped.
 I got lucky, Mowgli.
I learned a very valuable lesson.
That if you are mad or upset,
the worst thing you can do
is run away from your troubles.

6.) Recess School's Out

Principal Prickly: I’ll let you in on a little secret, Detweiler. Every adult you’ve ever known was a kid some time in his life. You think we don’t remember summer vacation ? Riding bikes by the creek ? Catching polliwogs in ajar ? Camping out under the stars ? Well, you’re wrong. Some days I sit in my office, looking out at you kids on the playground, and I think, ‘‘They don’t know how good they’ve got it. In a few years, they’re all going to be grown ups, like me, and all those good times will Just be memories for them too.’’ So go ahead, put a whoopee cushion in my chair, cover my carpet with fake vomit, make fun of my big, saggy butt. But don’t you ever say I don’t care about summer vacation, ’cause those memories are the last part of childhood I’ve got left.

7.) Robots

Rodney: You know, I'm a little tired.
 Maybe tomorrow.

Fender: Kind of a rough day, huh?

Rodney: Kind of. My dad's probably
 sitting by the phone...
 ...waiting for his brilliant son
 to call...
...and tell him what a big success
 my first day was.
I know it's not your problem.
 If you burden your friends,
 you won't have any.

Fender: What are you, a fortune cookie?
 "That's what friends... "

Rodney: You consider me a friend?

Fender: Sure, what else would I consider you?
 An embarrassment,
a way to rebel against your parents...
 ...a desperate cry for help.
 The list is endless.

Rodney: Let's just stick with friend.

Fender: You know, even though you had
 a discouraging day, remember...
 ...there's another one
 coming tomorrow.
 You know, my last roommate
 jumped out that window.

Rodney: I'm really sorry I let you down.

 Herb Copperbottom: No, no, no.
You could never let me down, Rodney.
Listen, I know it isn't easy, Rodney...
 ...but a dream
 that you don't fight for...
 ...can haunt you
for the rest of your life.

 Rodney: Yeah, Dad.

Herb Copperbottom: It's up to you, son.
Your father loves you very much.

Rodney: I know.

8.) Regular Show Season Four Episode, "Trailer Trashed"

Muscle Man: One thing I've learned from food-eating contests is: Even when you're at your limit and feel like you're gonna puke your guts out, you never give up! You threaten a man's home, you threaten the man!

9.) Monsters University

Mike: You were right. They weren't scared of me. I did everything right. I wanted it more than anybody. And I thought... I thought if I wanted it enough, I could show everybody that... that Mike Wazowski is something special. I'm just... not. (He slapped his reflection on the lake.)

Mike: You're the scariest bunch of monsters I have ever met. Don't let anyone tell you different.

Sulley: Mike. I don't know a single scarer who can do what you do. I know everyone sees us together, they think I'm the one running the show, but the truth is... I've been riding your coattails since day one! You made the deal with Hardscrabble. You took a hopeless team, and made them champions. All I did was catch a pig!

Mike: Technically, I caught the pig.

Sulley: Exactly! And you think you're just okay. You pulled off the biggest scare this school's ever seen!

Mike: That wasn't me.

Sully: That was you. You think I coulda done that without you? I didn't even bring a pencil on the first day of school. Mike. You're not scary. Not even a little. But you are fearless! And if Hardscrabble can't see that, then she can just...

Dean Hardscrabble: I can just, what? Careful, Mr. Sullivan. I was just warming up to you.

Sulley: Sorry.

Dean Hardscrabble: Well, gentlemen, It seems you made the frontpage again. (She handed Mike a newspaper.) The two of you did something together that no one has ever done before. You surprised me. Perhaps I should keep an eye for more... surprises, like you in my program. But, as far as the two of you are concerned, there is nothing I can do for you now. Except perhaps, wish you luck. And Mr. Wazowski, keep surprising people.

10.) Zootopia

Judy Hopps: When I was a kid, I thought Zootopia was this perfect place, where everyone got along and anyone could be anything. Turns out, real life is a little bit more complicated than a slogan on a bumper sticker. Real life is messy. [She goes to the ZPD and sees Clawhauser, happy and back at his old job. He sets his Gazelle snow globe and his name tag and sees Officers Higgins and McHorn giving him two boxes of donuts. He smiles. Judy smiles.] We all have limitations, we all make mistakes, which means - hey, glass half full! - we all have a lot in common. And the more we try to understand one another, the more exceptional each of us will be. [The scene changes to the graduation ceremony, where Judy graduated, and Judy gives a speech] But we have to try. So no matter what type of animal you are; from the biggest elephant, to our first fox, [We see Nick in full police uniform, holding a beverage, lifts up his shades, and winks at Judy, inspired by her words] I implore you - try. Try to make the world a better place. [Later, Judy opens a box revealing a badge. She places the badge on Nick's uniform. She salutes Nick, who salutes her back.] Look inside yourself and recognize that change starts with you. It starts with me. It starts with all of us.

11.) Shark Tale

Oscar: But nobody loves a nobody. I want... I wanna be a somebody.

12.) Big Hero 6

Hiro Hamada:
We didn’t set out to be superheroes, but
sometimes life doesn’t go the way you planned. The good thing is, my brother wanted to help a lot of people, and that’s what we’re gonna do.

13.) Steven Universe Episode, "Free Rides"

Buck Dewey: But you always seem so upbeat. You're a real champ, Steven Universe.

14.) Planes Fire and Rescue

Blade: This isn't about you. This is about life and death. You need to follow orders. I told you, "Split load," you dropped it all. I told you not to reload on the lake, you did it anyway. I told you, "Redline it," you pulled power. You don't have what it takes! You don't!

Dusty: Fine! I never wanted to be a firefighter anyway!

Blade: Then go back to racing! Go win yourself another trophy, Champ.

Dusty: I can't! My gearbox is busted! All right? That's why I pulled power. I'm never gonna...

(Dusty was exhausted and miserable. He was so overcome with disappointment and sadness that he didn't even feel like himself anymore)

Blade: Life doesn't always go the way you expect it. But you came here to become a firefighter. If you give up today, think of all the lives you won't save tomorrow.

15.) Princess and the Frog

Tiana: The only way to get what you want in this world is through hard work.

So there you have it.

I wished that, when I started my journey on Carver Elementary School from 1999 to 2006, Sabin Middle School from 2006 to 2009, Doherty High School from 2009 to 2013 and all the way to today. Nothing special. Just being honest about my skills in math and reading and writing. That the road towards it is far from essay, but that, I shouldn't be stubborn and never give up. Because back then, I was in need of encouragement and love -- just like many other beginners are. And a thing would most certainly have pushed me forward.

But just like many others, (especially on this site), Sometimes, I never got a response back. And I felt unworthy.

The one that would've told me that popularity isn't only a matter of being skilled, bud also heavily relies on social skills. I was trying to improve, because, I was at least on the right track. They say that they want to get better but it's clear that they just "kinda want to get better." One guy or girl ask a lot. "What are you working on?" As soon as I answer with explanation, I always responds with, "Man, I should be working on that." A lot of times this will confuse me even more and leave me feeling a little stupid. If you have teachers, keep asking question and demand a clear answer. Gesture is a good one.

I can relate what :iconserpanade-toons: said to me that before I got the quantitative literacy book for Mat 050, I thought I was going to fail two subjects, but I kept trying to succeed and I got some help from my teachers and tutors. I mean, I felt that I did, but my parents said that they're be proud of me no matter what I do. But, all that matters is that I'm making myself proud. That's what counts. It doesn't matter if I fail a class (Math or English). What matters is how I apply my skills in the real world. It's a food thing for me to learn, but my abilities matter more!

As long as I knew and you'll know that I'll tried to do my best (even if it might not work perfectly) that's all that matters. Everyone screw things up, no one is perfect, trust me. As humans, we are all flawed, but that's what makes us all unique, right? So I will try not to be so hard on myself.

Now here's both songs, since you guys believe in me:

1.)
2.)

And now, in conclusion, If there are, by any chance, people who reads this message and feel encouraged to never give up.

I'm glad that I have to do so.

I love you all, You're the best! mlp mane 6 (hug) plz  Hug hug Hug 2 GIF Star vs. the Forces of Evil - Hug Fella Heart Kiss (Love) :doublehug: revamp Huggle! Hug

That's a lot of motivational quotes along with two of my favorite songs from the Lion King Musical.
